Most people think that having healthy looking hair takes much effort and financial investment, which is why they leave their hair as it is.
True, it is not easy to have great looking hair. However, it is not always necessary to spend money for it. In fact, getting healthy and great looking hair is simple, all you have to do is to orient yourself with proper hair care and management of the type of hair that you have.
In line with that, these tips below should help a lot.
- Brushing your hair when it is still wet is a big NO. Doing so will make you hair more likely to break and be damaged. If you want to brush your hair, make sure to do so only before showering or do so only after it has enough time to properly dry.
- Dull and/or lifeless hair could easily be the result of poor diet. Remember, how your hair looks depends mainly on some of the vital nutrients that you take into your body, such as Vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids, iron, Vitamin B, etc. Make sure that you eat right and drink multivitamins to help supplement your overall health, and not just your hair.
- When going to the salon to cut your hair, make sure that you choose texture over cut and colour. Hair with plenty of texture gives you a variety of options in terms of styling, allowing you to not only look good all the time, but have varied looks as well.
- Cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, stress, and lack of exercise all contribute to not only bad hair, but also, worsening health. That in mind, you must make sure that you implement good habits and most likely, your health will improve along with how your hair looks.
- Speak with a hair care professional or a salon expert if you want to add more texture to your hair. Remember, your hair will look differently as you age, as it is part of the aging process, and speaking to experts will allow you to know what different options you have in terms of making your hair look better and more in line with your age.
- Try not washing your hair every day. Doing so will allow your hair to replenish essential nutrients and oils so that it looks better and healthier.
- For those that have curly hair, washing it more than twice a week is not good. If you are serious in wanting to make your hair look better, try not to self-medicate and speak with a hair care professional. They are sure to give you advice and tips on how to style your hair.
- Get a trim every now and then. This is not to make your hair grow longer, but to make it look more fabulous and to take care of frizz, split ends and other signs of unhealthy hair.
As you can see, if you give your hair a little bit more love and care, it is bound to look better, healthier and livelier, which in turn can make you look younger.
